Coin Description

Obverse : Bare bust facing left; "EDWARDVS VIII D:G:BR:OMN:REX."

Reverse : Six interlinked rings of St. Edmund; "FID·DEF·IND·IMP·1937·SIX PENCE".

The Edward VIII coinage is stricly speaking a pattern, as probable Royal approval was about to be granted at the time of the abdication.
